DESIGN STATEMENT:
AIM:
The oasis foundation of design applies theories of hyperreality and human behaviour to develop a tailored ux centric space that meets a succession of personality and spatial relations in accordance to functional aesthetic and sustainable standards.
VISION:
A fusion of sophisticated slow living, understated interiors that highlight styles of golden ages of beach culture - lounge and comfort centric stylisation. To ensure the upkeep of comfort and simplicity a crucial minimization of space and density is necessary in the finalization of FOH. BOH will utilize the remaining sectors for maximum space conversion.
OUTCOME:
The crux of this proposal was to take the obvious constraints and turn them into their strengths. The site itself is unusual in the nature of having strong connections and elements to the past while also building for the future. The open plan and utility of space plays with diffused light sources and moodier tones of the interior while still being bathed in light during early mornings and afternoons - the use of patina and gentleness in materials allowed for this to be achieved without draining the obvious life from the space.
